Contract salary, Exempt - Salary/Hourly Rate: BS 0 years experience=$53,000, MS 0 years experience=$54,000 with additional compensation for years of experience
- Co‑teach and assist with high school band and/or orchestra rehearsal, instruction, and concert preparation
- Serve as lead instructor for non‑performance music courses (e.g., Piano Lab I & II, AP Music Theory/AP Music Theater, Social History of Rock and Roll)
- Provide individual and small‑group instrumental coaching as needed; demonstrate proficiency in woodwind, brass or string instruments
- Develop clear, standards‑aligned lesson plans and assess student progress with formative and summative measures
- Contribute to curriculum development, classroom management, and a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Communicate regularly and professionally with students, families and colleagues
- Co‑lead extracurricular rehearsals, concerts and other events; supervise students as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned by building administration
- Demonstrated proficiency on at least one instrument in the woodwind, brass, or string families
- Experience teaching high school band, orchestra, or classroom music courses preferred
- Strong skills in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management and collaborative program building
