Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Mccordsville
Position Overview
GMA is an Indiana public charter school authorized by Ball State University. We offer an authentic Montessori education grounded in the belief that children learn best when they are trusted, respected, and given meaningful work in a thoughtfully prepared environment. Our school operates within Indiana's public education framework, which means our teachers hold the dual responsibility of honoring Montessori philosophy while ensuring alignment with Indiana Academic Standards and state accountability systems.
GMA teachers do not work in isolation. We are a collaborative, mission-driven community where strong teams plan together, reflect together, and hold each other -- and our students -- to high expectations. If that is the kind of school where you do your best work, we want to hear from you.
Position Overview
The Lead Teacher is the primary guide for a multi-age Montessori classroom. This person is responsible for planning and delivering a coherent, standards-aligned instructional program rooted in Montessori philosophy and materials; establishing and sustaining a prepared environment that supports independence and deep work; and building the relationships with students, families, and colleagues that make great Montessori education possible.
