The Notre Dame Law Library is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable current undergraduate student to join our team. This role provides vital support in maintaining our collections and assisting with various library operations.
Position OverviewThis is a temporary summer position.
Key Responsibilities- Collection Maintenance:
Label, reshelve, and shelf‑read books to keep the collection organized. - Stack Management:
Move sections of materials, manage loose‑leaf filing updates, and adjust shelving racks. - Departmental Support:
Retrieve research materials and assist with small, specialized projects for library departments. - Start Date:
ASAP - Schedule:
Up to 10 hours per week - Availability:
Shifts must be between 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Fridays. - Flexibility:
Hours can be scheduled in 2 to 4‑hour increments to accommodate your class schedule.
- Detail‑oriented & organized:
Excellent organizational skills with a sharp eye for detail. - Reliable & self‑motivated:
Highly dependable with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently. - Strong communicator:
Good verbal communication skills for collaborating with staff and assisting patrons.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Comfortable using a step stool to reach higher shelves and shift materials.
$15 per hour
Must be a current Notre Dame undergraduate student.
