Business & Entrepreneurship Teacher – Career & Technical Education (CTE)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business & Entrepreneurship CTE Teacher to teach courses within the Indiana Business Pathway. This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about preparing students for careers in business, entrepreneurship, and leadership through engaging, real-world learning experiences. In addition to business pathway courses, this position will also teach Adult Roles & Responsibilities and Consumer Economics, helping students develop essential life skills for personal and professional success.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to succeed in business and entrepreneurship, from both the vendor and consumer perspectives.
Position Responsibilities:
- Teach Principles-level and Concentrator courses aligned with the Indiana Business Pathway
- Deliver engaging instruction in areas such as entrepreneurship, marketing, management, finance, and business operations
- Prepare students for postsecondary success, including workforce readiness and college pathways
- Collaborate with CTE colleagues, school staff, and community partners
- Maintain accurate lesson plans, assessments, and student records
- Support dual credit coursework, when applicable
Qualifications:
- Business or Entrepreneurship teaching certification preferred
- Valid teaching license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Dual Credit licensing preferred
- Background knowledge and/or professional experience in business, entrepreneurship, or related fields
- Strong instructional, organizational, and classroom management skills
Contract & Compensation:
- 187-day teacher contract
- School Year - Salary based on experience and licensure
