Responsibilities
- Create a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals and provide effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi.
- Deliver assigned classes during daytime hours and facilitate learning by fulfilling College policy and course objectives.
- Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and related materials.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other required documentation.
- Engage with students in meaningful and productive ways that positively impact learning experiences.
- Implement active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular).
- Interact with students and co‑workers in a professional and cooperative manner while complying with College policies, campus guidelines, and expectations.
- Ensure knowledge of and implement emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs, and all learning environments.
- Perform any other duties logically associated with this position within the framework of FERPA and related regulatory requirements.
- Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in information technology or a related field.
- Possesses an earned related or out‑of‑field master’s degree with documented evidence in at least two of the following: professional certification in the field, two years of in‑field professional employment, award of teaching excellence, research or publication in the field, or additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree (18 semester hours or equivalent).
- Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology or a related field, with documented evidence in one or more of the following: professional certification, two years of in‑field professional employment, award of teaching excellence, research or publication, or additional IT coursework (18 semester hours or equivalent).
