They will also meet the following qualifications and possess these preferred skills:

• High School Diploma
• Substitute Teaching License (or willingness to gain one when hired)
• Collaborative and proactive approach to teaching
• Competency in using technology in the classroom setting
• Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
• Strong desire to work within an innovative, urban educational program
• Ability to follow an age appropriate curriculum

• Follow the lesson plans that were created by the teacher
• Implement classroom procedures, systems, and routines that provide structure for students and maximize instructional time.
• Present academic content through a variety of instructional strategies to reach all learners
• Communicate frequently and effectively with student families; promptly return phone calls and answer emails.
• Able to proactively build meaningful, positive relationships with all students
• Uses restorative practices to build positive classroom culture
