Job Summary
All duties and responsibilities associated with being a successful Band Director and Teacher at the high school level and General Music Teacher at the middle school level. This position does include competitions and performances outside of the normal academic day. This position will instruct General Music at Batesville Middle School for one-half of the normal academic day.
Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in music education, instrumental and general music, or the equivalent. - Certification:
Valid Indiana State Teaching License or willingness to complete a transition to teaching program in the areas of vocal and general music or instrumental and general music.
- June 19, 2026 – Final date to receive applications
- June 26, 2026 – Prospective Candidates Contacted for Interviews
- June 30, 2026 and July 1, 2026 – First Round Interviews
- July 6, 2026 – Second Round Interviews, as needed
- July 13, 2026 – Band camp and summer responsibilities are scheduled to begin
- August 7, 2026 – Staff Professional Development Day #1
