POSITION: 6th Grade English/Language Arts Teacher - Tipton Middle School

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a valid Indiana teaching license for Language Arts at the middle school level and meet all applicable state and federal licensure requirements.
Must demonstrate a commitment to helping all students grow through effective instruction, strong relationships, high expectations, and a belief that all middle school students are capable of meaningful academic and personal growth.
Must communicate clearly and professionally with students, families, colleagues, and administrators in order to build trust, support individual student needs, and strengthen the connection between school and home.
Must collaborate consistently with grade-level teams, content-area colleagues, support staff, and families to identify student strengths and needs, respond to learning gaps, and support all students' success.
Must create a classroom environment that is respectful, organized, energetic, and motivating, while balancing warmth, accountability, joy and academic rigor.
Must use daily reflection, student learning evidence, and professional feedback to adjust instruction and improve outcomes for all students.
Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage instructional time, classroom routines, student needs and professional responsibilities effectively.
Must show initiative and creativity in developing lessons, activities, assessments and learning experiences that build literacy skills and prepare students for success in high school and beyond.
Must contribute positively to a team-centered school culture focused on student learning, professional collaboration, continuous improvement and shared responsibility.
