Goodwill's Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) program is a community service and work-based job training program for older adults. The SCSEP Coach addresses the fragmented structure of the social services industry by taking a holistic, whole-family approach. This approach is foundational to Goodwill's existing wrap-around services provided to employees and their families. The SCSEP Coach provides alternative life strategies by preparing for success through employment, financial management, future planning, and education.

At Goodwill, we help seniors find work, develop new skills and talents, and build their financial security by taking advantage of the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). The SCSEP Coach coordinates and assists the recruiting, intake, assessment, orientation, advising, enrollment procedures, and follow-up for program participants who are in need of services. Efforts are tracked to employment and financial outcomes.

The Coach networks with outside resources to promote Goodwill's programs and services. The Coach manages community outreach and builds and maintains relationships with all stakeholders. The SCSEP Coach works with minimal supervision and relies on self-direction to complete goals as established by the organization.
