The Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics at the Indiana University School of Medicine is recruiting a Basic Scientist to serve as faculty. The Scientist will be appointed as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (with tenure or on the tenure track depending upon qualifications). The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. or M.D. and have expertise in computational approaches to gene x environment interactions and population genetics.
The candidate should be able to perform predictive modeling and develop advanced polygenic scores, and must mentor medical students, graduate students, residents, and/or fellows in basic research. Long‑term NIH funding and a collaborative research record are highly desirable.
- Ph.D. or M.D. required
- Expertise in computational approaches to gene x environment interactions and population genetics
- Experience in studying complex traits of addiction
- Ability to perform predictive modeling and develop advanced polygenic scores
