The Role
The SPASS Dual Credit Faculty Support role serves as a designee to provide academic support to program and department chairs within the School of Public Affairs & Social Services in all matters K14 related.

Major Responsibilities- Complete any tasks assigned that may normally be assigned to a program or department chair. Tasks include, but may not be limited to:
- Understand and utilize the college’s faculty credentialing system
- Review faculty credentials of high school faculty to determine eligibility to teach in the specific discipline
- Understand and utilize any concurrent enrollment systems, such as Dual
- Create and implement onboarding sessions for any high school faculty for specific discipline(s) they are credentialed in
- Schedule onboarding sessions for any high school faculty in other disciplines within School of Public Affairs & Social Services
- Provide academic, instructional and technological support to high school faculty teaching in designated discipline(s)
- Review syllabi and provide syllabi support for any high school faculty in assigned discipline
- Schedule and conduct site visits and complete appropriate reports for specific discipline(s) they are credentialed in
- Coordinate and schedule onboarding sessions for any high school faculty in other disciplines within School of Public Affairs & Social Services
- Maintain communications and general curriculum support for high school faculty within School of Public Affairs & Social Services
- Maintain all deadlines assigned by program or department chair or K14 department
- Use technology such as Zoom, Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
Education And Experience- Must be credentialed to teach within at least one program for the college in the school where K14 support for the program or department chair will be provided.
- Total time worked in any week may not exceed 28 hours (i.e., inclusive of both the adjunct instructor’ course contact hours, and hours providing Part‑time K14 Faculty Liaison support to the program/department chair).
- This position includes travel to area high schools to conduct site visits/classroom evaluation of dual credit instructors throughout the school year.
- Meets the education component of the School of Public Affairs Social Services discipline or technical course standard per ASOM 7.1 specifically seeking someone qualified for Legal Studies, Criminal Justice or Human Services.
Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre‑employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome. Copies of transcripts are required at time of interview. Original hard copies of transcripts will be required at time of hire.
