Hasten Hebrew Academy is a small, inclusive Jewish day school on the north side of Indianapolis serving students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Position Overview:HHAI is seeking a dynamic and creative educator to teach an integrated Math and Science program for our combined 6th and 7th grade class. This role blends core math instruction with inquiry‑based science and STEM learning, emphasizing real‑world problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration.
With a small group of students, this is an opportunity to design a highly personalized, differentiated program that meets students where they are and helps them grow.

Key Responsibilities:- Teach middle school Math and Science through an integrated STEM approach
- Design and implement engaging, hands‑on, project‑based learning experiences
- Differentiate instruction to support a range of learners within a combined 6th–7th grade classroom
- Use data to inform instruction and support student growth
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and collaboration
- Incorporate technology, engineering, and design thinking into lessons (Innovation Lab, STEM projects, etc.)
- Collaborate with the Humanities teacher to support interdisciplinary connections
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress
- Participate in school‑wide initiatives, faculty meetings, and community events
- Bachelor’s degree required (Education, Math, Science, or related field)
- Teaching experience in middle school preferred
- Strong understanding of math instruction and foundational science concepts
- Passion for STEM education and hands‑on learning
- Ability to work in a small, collaborative school environment—class sizes of 5‑10 students
- Strong classroom management and relationship‑building skills
- Openness to feedback, growth, and innovation
