The IU School of Medicine Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology (ACBP) seeks a highly motivated, education‑focused faculty member for a clinical‑track position. The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s teaching mission, providing instruction in gross anatomy, histology, embryology, and/or neuroanatomy to medical and health professional students. The role also includes oversight of the department’s outreach program and collaboration on course development across the School of Medicine and the IU‑Indianapolis campus.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in gross anatomy, histology, embryology, and/or neuroanatomy.
- Oversee the department’s anatomy‑ and physiology‑based science outreach for K‑12 and post‑secondary students.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and enhance curricula.
- Serve in departmental and school service activities.
- Doctorate (PhD or MD) or terminal degree required.
- Significant teaching background in the anatomical disciplines for medical and health professional students.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor graduate and health‑professional students in medical‑education projects.
- Strong collaborative skills and willingness to participate in interdisciplinary teams.
