German Adjunct Faculty

Job Description

Adjunct faculty are responsible for fostering a learning environment that supports students in achieving their academic goals, while delivering effective instruction and assessment in alignment with the provided syllabi. The Global Languagesdepartment is seeking a German adjunct to teach one elementary language class Fall 2026 on campus.

Previous teaching experience is required. College-level teaching experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications :
Master’s or higher degree in German (other degrees in the Humanities or Social Sciences will be considered).

• Follow the guidance and direction of supervisor(s).
• Demonstrate respectful, ethical, responsible behavior.
• Abide by the University’s policies, procedures, and rules.
• Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employee handbooks and policies.
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
• Other duties, including special projects, as required or assigned.

• Facilitate student learning by effectively delivering assigned courses.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, grades, and other required documentation.
• Engage with students consistently in meaningful and constructive ways.
• Foster professional and collaborative interactions with students and colleagues.
• Ensure a safe, high-quality online learning environment.
• Demonstrate a commitment to creating an inclusive atmosphere that respects and values the backgrounds of our students and staff.
