Student Services Dean

At CCHS, this new position as Student Services Dean supports students' academic achievement, personal growth, and postsecondary readiness through a comprehensive, student-centered program. The Student Services Dean collaborates with students, educators, and administrators to create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes student success and well-being.

Student Support & Counseling

Provide individual and group counseling to support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development. Identify and respond to student needs related to mental health, attendance, behavior, and crisis situations. Develops and implements prevention and intervention programs aligned with school and district goals. Assist students with goal setting and progress monitoring. Helps to provide small group and individual testing accommodations during standardized testing windows.

Interpret and use student data to guide counseling strategies and interventions. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents/guardians, and support staff to support student success. Collaborate with community resources and outside agencies. Participate in multidisciplinary teams, including IEP, 504, and student support meetings. Assist with McKinney-Vento and/or act as liaison for the district. Make referrals to internal and external support services as appropriate.

Advocate for students' academic needs. Deliver lessons on topics such as SEL, conflict resolutions, study skills, and career awareness. Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with laws and ethical standards. Evaluate and continuously improve the school counseling program. Evaluate the educational needs of students and make recommendations to parents, students and appropriate administrators concerning student placement/credit/course requirements; assist students with class registration, scheduling and program changes as needed

Administrative Duties/Support

Serve as an active member of the administrative team by:
Assisting with student discipline and attendance Observing, supervising, and evaluating faculty/staff Assisting or leading the planning and implementation of school activities Assisting in the preparation of state reports, school records, and all other paperwork required for school administration Participate in building and district level administrative team meetings Attend and participate with the planning and implementation of school events Stay informed of changes and developments in the education profession.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent

Corporation Testing Coordinator

This position will also serve as the Corporation Testing Coordinator (CTC) for CCSC and will be expected to complete all the necessary training, scheduling, reporting, and administration of state level testing as required by the IDOE. Ensure that the school testing coordinators (STC) are trained as required by the IDOE. Assist STC's with staff training, test scheduling, reporting, and administration.

Contracted Days: 205 days Salary:

Education and Work Experience

Qualifications:

The preferred candidate has the following:
Valid Teaching License Master's Degree in School Counseling or Educational Leadership Administrative Licensure Successful teaching experience and school counseling or administrative experience Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA,FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
