Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRegularly meet and collaborate with staff for planning of curriculum and sharing of student observations. Follow the schedule and routines already put in place to the best of your ability. Encourage the maintenance of pre-determined classroom schedules and behavior plans. Come to know each individual learner and advocate for their success. Provide intervention and enrichment to students in need. Support in assessment and the collection of data as needed.
Cover student arrival and dismissal as assigned. Other duties required with assigned grade level/students (attend field trips, attend lunch, before/after school duty). Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures. Must obtain and maintain substitute license. Must have a current background check on file. Be willing to learn various curriculum and resources available. Lead small group interventions with direction.

$16.00/hr.
Work Days/Hours183 Days Per School Year/37.5 Hours per week
Education and/or Work Experience RequirementsExperience preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Associates Degree or Para-Pro certified (We can help with certification). Able to work effectively and communicate with a wide range of students, staff and administration. Strong human relations skills, including professional tact, diplomacy and presentation. Multi-tasking ability and strong organizational skills. Strong elementary level math and reading skills. Willingness to attend job training.
Physical RequirementsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly.
