: BS 0 years experience=$53,000, MS 0 years experience=$54,000 with additional compensation for years of experience
- Establish and maintain library procedures
- Teach information literacy skills to students using established curriculum and standards
- Instruct teachers and students on library use
- Participate in library program evaluation
- Establish and successfully implement goals for the school library program appropriate to the setting and the students served
- Assist students in the use of technology
- Establish a culture for investigation and love of literature through regular student visitation to the library for book selection, book talks, and motivational programs
- Encourage an inquiry-based learning environment within the school community
- Assist and reinforce teacher instruction in library skills acquisition
- Co-plan and co-teach with teachers to deliver culturally responsive instruction regarding student research and the acquisition of inquiry skills.
- Establish, evaluate and maintain library procedures in regards to staffing and student or parent volunteers
- Select resources that support student learning and allow students to move quickly through the locating phase into working with information and gaining deeper understanding
- Prepare resource lists that include print materials, websites, videos, and other relevant resources to be placed on class Canvas pages and/or the library home page
- Check materials, books, magazines, and/or AV equipment in and out using manual and automated processes; gather resources for faculty to support unit planners
- Maintain statistics related to library usage
- Evaluate materials for relatedness to state standards and District curriculum
- Recommend media, technology, equipment, and book purchases and order library books, magazines, computer software, and supplies that reflect the variety of student learning
