The IU Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering invites applications for an open-rank (assistant, associate, or full professor) clinical faculty position in the Department of Library and Information Science.
The appointment will begin August 1, 2025. This is a non-tenure track, 10‑month appointment, with the opportunity for annual reappointment and additional summer compensation.
Position SummaryExceptional candidates in data studies or library and information science, including communications and social informatics, are sought. The ideal candidate will combine excellence in teaching with an external service component focused on building impactful campus and community initiatives and partnerships for the department’s academic programs.
Responsibilities- Teach courses and develop curricula in the field of data studies and library and information science.
- Provide service to the department, university, and broader information community.
- Build and maintain partnerships that create internship opportunities and facilitate experiential learning for students.
- Engage in external outreach to support departmental initiatives.
