About the RoleLiberty Grove Schools is seeking a full‑time Interventionist / Academic Support Specialist. This position will be focused on academic support and skill building among the Liberty Grove Schools student population. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working with students in small groups and one‑on‑one on math and reading skills at the elementary level in a rigorous, college‑preparatory liberal arts curriculum.
The candidate should be comfortable addressing math and literacy concerns within all disciplines of the academic program.
- Assist in creating intervention and acceleration learning plans for students who need Tier 2 and Tier 3 academic interventions.
- Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group interventions to build skills for students who enter Liberty Grove with weak reading and math skills.
- Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group interventions to build skills for students who struggle with the LGS curriculum.
- Support Multilingual Learner students with the LGS curriculum, including in one‑on‑one and small group interventions.
- Help to build positive culture and buy‑in among students for our collective work of developing math, reading, writing, and verbal communication skills across the school.
- Work in partnership with the Student Support Service Team (Director of Student Support Services and Exceptional Learners Coordinator) to ensure all student academic, social, and emotional needs are met.
- Other job‑related duties as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Experience with students of diverse learning backgrounds and learning challenges.
- Valid Professional Educator License:
