Western Intermediate School Special Education Teacher 26-27 School Year Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Meets professional responsibilities.
• Plans and organizes instruction to achieve general and course proficiencies.
• Provides effective instruction using a variety of strategies, which bring about desired student proficiencies.
• Assesses student progress and maintains records and communicates ongoing student progress.
• Organizes and manages the classroom environment to maximize learning.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills with students, parents, and community.
• Demonstrates effective people skills.

According to the salary schedule and benefit package per agreement of Western School Corporation and Western Education Association.
