Job Title: Adjunct Faculty – Diesel Technology

Salary Range: $48.67 per contact hour
Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as‑needed basis. They create a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals, providing effective instruction and assessment within common syllabi.
Major Responsibilities- Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
- Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Develop, maintain, and update course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and related materials.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other required documentation.
- Engage with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience.
- Show evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning.
- Interact with students and co‑workers professionally and cooperatively, complying with College policies, campus guidelines, and expectations.
- Ensure knowledge of and implement emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs, and all learning environments.
- Perform related duties as deemed necessary, within FERPA and other regulatory requirements.
- Possesses specialized certifications or credentials required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record.
- Has at least 5years of directly related work experience in the field linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record.
- Alternative path:
Holds a current Workplace Specialist License granted by the Indiana Department of Education that is appropriate to course objectives and linked to credentials, certifications, and competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record. - Demonstrates ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the diverse backgrounds of students and employees.
- ASE Certified (required).
