We are seeking a dedicated School-Within-a-School Instructor to lead our high school credit recovery program and help students reclaim their academic paths. In this vital role, you will manage a supportive, non-traditional classroom environment designed tailored to students who need targeted assistance to get back on track for graduation. You will act as both an educator and a mentor, utilizing digital curricula and individualized instructional strategies to help students master missed competencies at their own pace.
By fostering a culture of accountability, resilience, and encouragement, you will help students overcome past academic hurdles and rediscover their potential. Principal Qualifications
- As set by state certification standards or licensure requirements, at a minimum a Bachelor degree
- Pass health examination
- Have no immoral or criminal history
- Have ability to work with other staff members, the community, parents and children
- To lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and psychological growth and maturation
- Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated
- Demonstrate knowledge of curriculum initiatives and subject matter
- Design instruction that addresses multiple abilities of performance
- Implement effective teaching techniques
- Use varied resources for learning activities
- Teach to KERA learning goals, KDE academic expectations and district courses of study
- Promote high expectations for students
- Create a learning climate that supports academic expectations
- Establish and maintain standards of classroom behavior
- Evaluate student progress on regular basis and communicate evaluation to students and parents
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships with students
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships with educational staff
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships with parents/guardians
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation
- Communicate challenging expectations for all students
- Work cooperatively with colleagues, support staff, and administration
- Participate in professional activities and professional organizations
- Follow the policies and procedures of the school district
- Assume responsibilities outside the classroom as related to the school
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal/Superintendent
