About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled College Connection Coach to advise, mentor, and assist high school aged youth with their high school-based college courses and pathways. In this role, you will also coordinate the Accelerated Associates Degree program (ASAP).

Required Skills & Competencies
  • Proficiency in student tracking software systems (Banner, Dual Enroll, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canvas, Salesforce) and experience managing a classroom and presenting to high school students.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and provide data‑driven solutions for high school partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, articulating ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Problem‑solving: critically think, make independent decisions and resolve complex problems promptly.
  • Teamwork: collaborate effectively with diverse teams to achieve common goals.
  • Project Management: manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, track progress in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Leadership: inspire, guide and support team members while fostering a positive work culture.
  • Experience in student advising and/or high school classroom management (teaching, counseling or support).
Key Responsibilities
  • Advise high school students on pathways to academic degrees and transfer opportunities (develop individual academic plans/degree trackers). Help clarify personal and academic career goals using student development theories.
  • Coordinate the ASAP program: provide student communication, calendar planning, event coordination, data tracking and technical support.
  • Manage assigned schools’ dual credit and dual enrollment courses from application through registration; assist teachers and students with Dual Enroll applications, Knowledge Assessment, and course registration.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and public relations with high school students, parents, and school personnel; coordinate school visits and recruiting activities.
  • Collaborate with counselors, teachers and personnel to address student needs when appropriate.
  • Maintain, update and distribute dual credit, dual enrollment and credential attainment resource materials to college and high school personnel.
  • Monitor academic progress of assigned dual credit students, conduct communication plans, meetings, interventions, assessments, data collection and analysis.
  • Manage student connection caseload to promote retention, persistence and student success.
  • Promote dual credit and dual enrollment opportunities to staff, students and parents; provide information about the College and promote relevant programs.
  • Record and maintain student records through multiple management tools.
  • Assist students in understanding registration processes, placement scores, program curricula, prerequisites etc.
  • Demonstrate commitment to student development and success through advocacy, positive attitude, adaptability, approachability, problem‑solving and support.
  • Maintain knowledge of the institution's academic programs, policies, curriculum, and student policies.
  • Participate in on‑campus and off‑campus events supporting stakeholders and K‑14 program initiatives (may include evening or weekend activities).
  • Serve on committees as assigned.
Education & Experience

While formal education or certifications may be beneficial or required for certain positions, what we need are candidates who can demonstrate the practical skills and experience necessary to excel in this role.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement processes aligned with student‑focused goals.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good public relations skills and self‑motivation.
  • Proficient computer skills and related software applications for program planning and implementation, including record‑keeping.
