Manchester University is seeking a visionary and collaborative Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences to lead a dynamic college dedicated to student success, faculty achievement, and innovative academic programming. Reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean serves as the chief academic leader for the College of Arts & Sciences, championing excellence in teaching, scholarship, strategic growth, and community engagement.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a forward‑thinking leader who is passionate about building strong academic programs, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and advancing the University's mission.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all Arts & Sciences academic programs, operations, planning, and budgeting.
- Partner with faculty and university leadership to develop and implement long‑range academic goals and strategic initiatives.
- Lead faculty recruitment, development, evaluation, promotion, and retention efforts.
- Ensure compliance with regional accreditation standards and support specialized program accreditations.
- Serve as an advocate for faculty, staff, and students while fostering collaboration across the University.
- Support enrollment growth through recruitment, marketing, student retention, and academic pathway development initiatives.
- Collaborate with Advancement to support fundraising goals and strengthen external partnerships.
- Master's degree required; terminal degree preferred in a discipline within the College of Arts & Sciences.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in higher education with strong management, budgeting, and team‑building skills.
