Elementary General Music Teacher

Rossville Consolidated School District is seeking an enthusiastic, student-centered elementary general music teacher to join Rossville Elementary School. We are looking for an educator who inspires a lifelong appreciation of music while fostering creativity, collaboration, and a love of learning in every student. Responsibilities include providing engaging, standards-based music instruction for students in grades K-6, developing students' musical skills through singing, movement, instruments, music literacy, creativity, and performance, planning and directing school music performances and programs, creating a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment, differentiating instruction to meet individual student needs, collaborating with staff and families to support student achievement, and participating in professional learning and school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications include a valid Indiana teaching license (or eligibility) with music education certification, knowledge of Indiana academic standards for music, strong instructional, classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, and a commitment to building positive relationships and promoting student success. Preferred experience includes teaching elementary general music, directing student performances, and integrating technology into music instruction.
