Eastern Greene Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. This position plays a critical role in establishing a strong academic and social foundation for young learners as they begin their school experience.

The ideal candidate will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth. This teacher will work collaboratively with grade-level teams and families to ensure each student’s success.

• Valid Indiana teaching license in Elementary Education required
• Knowledge of early childhood development and best instructional practices
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to integrate technology into instruction
• Interest in sponsoring or supporting extracurricular activities preferred

• Provide high-quality instruction that supports kindergarten readiness and growth
• Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment
• Support the academic, social, and emotional development of all students
• Collaborate with staff and families to promote student success

• Deliver standards-based instruction aligned with Indiana Academic Standards
• Create engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment
• Assess student progress and use data to guide instruction
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
• Work collaboratively with grade-level and building teams
• Demonstrate reliability, organization, and professionalism in all responsibilities
• Be available for occasional after-school responsibilities and events as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal
