Substitute teacher open positions West Central School Corporation employs substitute teachers for both West Central Elementary School and West Central Middle/High School. Essential Duties:

• Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate school and student needs
• Instruct curriculum as provided
• Independently and effectively perform all classroom duties
• Monitor appropriate student behavior
• Communicate effectively with students and other staff members
• Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment

Essential Knowledge,

Skills and Experience:

• Ability to carry out duties independently with minimal instruction
• Ability to independently instruct and follow lessons as outlined by teacher/instructional assistant
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Respect and adhere to strict confidentiality policies
• Understand and enforce school rules, regulations, safety policies and procedures
