Classification:
Hourly (Non-Exempt) - 180 Days/Year
Pay Rate 6: $15.55 to $16.61 (based on education and experience)
Reports to:
Principal/Assistant Principal
Summary:
To monitor, support and provide assistance to student during study hall.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or, two (2) years college credit or, completion of 1,000 hours in the past year as a paraprofessional or successful completion of Para Pro Assessment Test.
- Ability to effectively utilize technology
- Knowledge and experience with G-Suite, Microsoft Office Suite
- Has exceptional communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provides supervision of students in the study hall classroom and common areas.
- Assists, instructs, or tutors students with coursework as needed.
- Assists student with instructional materials assigned by the teacher to promote ongoing skill development.
- Keeps students focused on assignments.
- Collaborates with Teachers to best support student needs.
- Established and maintains effective relationships with students, teachers and staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by administration.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation.
