Special Education Instructional Assistant

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Demonstrate a genuine concern for the learning of all children
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to be a team player
• Strong organizational skills

• Establish and maintain a positive rapport with students and co-workers
• Ability to anticipate classroom needs, yet follow the instruction and direction of the supervising teacher
• Ability to work with small groups of students to reinforce learning of functional academic skills
• Follow through with positive behavioral supports in all educational settings
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn and participate in professional development when necessary
• Additional duties may be assigned throughout the course of the school year
