We are seeking an engaging 8th Grade Math Teacher to guide students through a pivotal year of mathematical growth and prepare them for high school success. In this role, you will design dynamic, student-centered lessons focused on foundational algebra, linear functions, geometry, and real-world problem-solving. By creating a supportive, growth-minded classroom environment, you will build students' confidence, encourage critical thinking, and help them move past a fear of math to embrace challenges.

• As set by state certification standards or licensure requirements, at a minimum a Bachelor degree
• Pass health examination
• Have no immoral or criminal history
• Have ability to work with other staff members, the community, parents and children

• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated
• Demonstrate knowledge of curriculum initiatives and subject matter
• Design instruction that addresses multiple abilities of performance
• Implement effective teaching techniques
• Use varied resources for learning activities
• Teach to KERA learning goals, KDE academic expectations and district courses of study
• Promote high expectations for students
• Create a learning climate that supports academic expectations
• Establish and maintain standards of classroom behavior
• Evaluate student progress on regular basis and communicate evaluation to students and parents
