Long-Term Substitute Teacher

Nettle Creek School Corporation Superintendent, Mrs. Emily Schaeffer, has announced a vacancy notice for a Long-Term Substitute Teacher at Hagerstown Elementary School. This is a temporary position for the 2026-27 school year. The position is August 4, 2026 through August 28, 2026 with the possibility of extension.

• Appropriate Teacher Licensure for the state of Indiana.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn and grow, collaborative, people person.

• Experience working with elementary students.
• Demonstrated evidence of increasing student achievement.

• Provide instruction in the assigned area.
• Collaborate with colleagues in your assigned Department and the appropriate grade level team on curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• Provide timely communication with students and parents regarding student progress.
• Duties associated with the job description of a teacher in the Nettle Creek Schools.

• Teacher will be paid $80.00/day for the first 15 consecutive days. Further consecutive days will be paid at the daily rate of a first year teacher based on the NCSC Teacher Contract.
