Key qualifications:- Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience delivering instruction to students with visual impairments, preferably in a school setting
- Proficiency in Braille and adaptive technology for the visually impaired
- Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for inclusive education
- Provide direct and consultative instruction to students, adapting materials and lessons for optimal accessibility and engagement
- Support classroom teachers by recommending strategies and modifications tailored to each student's needs
- Assess students regularly and contribute to IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Train staff and family members in best practices and assistive technology
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports, ensuring compliance with educational standards
