Location: Ligonier

West Noble Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and engaging Classroom Instructional Assistant to support teachers and students in grades 2-4. This role focuses on providing targeted academic support, facilitating small group interventions, assisting with classroom management, and creating a positive, structured learning environment where elementary students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Support: Work under the guidance of certified teachers to deliver individualized instruction and small group lessons in reading, math, and writing.
  • Classroom Management: Reinforce classroom rules, help manage student behavior, and assist in maintaining a safe, inclusive learning space.
  • Student Monitoring: Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, assemblies, and dismissal to ensure safety and order.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare teaching materials, organize learning centers, grade routine assignments, and set up classroom technology or equipment.
  • Progress Tracking: Assist teachers in monitoring student progress, gathering assessment data, and recording observations to support learning goals.
  • Inclusion Support: Provide tailored accommodations for students with diverse learning needs or English language learners as directed by individual plans.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Must be Highly Qualified or able to complete necessary training within the first year of employment (Para Pathways Exams)
  • Previous experience working with elementary-aged children in a school, tutoring, or childcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and young learners.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting classroom needs.
  • Ability to pass required state and district background checks.
