This full-time, on-site role is located in Indianapolis, IN and includes responsibilities as a Spanish Dual Language Teacher (K–12) and ESL Teacher. Educators in this position plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in Spanish and English, supporting language development and academic achievement for multilingual learners across grade levels. Daily tasks include designing and implementing lesson plans, differentiating instruction based on student needs, assessing language proficiency and academic progress, and providing targeted support for English learners.
The role involves collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff to create inclusive classroom environments and to integrate dual language and ESL strategies into the broader school curriculum. Teachers also participate in professional development, contribute to school initiatives, and maintain accurate records and documentation required by the district and state.
- Demonstrated ability in English Teaching and general Teaching, with experience educating diverse K–12 student populations.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning, including designing standards-based units and adapting instruction for multilingual learners.
- Knowledge of Teaching English as a Foreign Language and familiarity with IELTS or comparable English language proficiency frameworks.
- Fluency or strong proficiency in Spanish, with the ability to teach in a dual language or bilingual setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, ESL/Bilingual Education, Spanish Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Valid or eligible Indiana teaching license with appropriate ESL, ENL, or bilingual/dual language endorsement (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to equity and culturally responsive teaching.
- Ability to use instructional technology and data to inform teaching practices and support student growth.
