As a Middle School Science Teacher at Adelante, you play a crucial role in sparking curiosity and understanding in the sciences among our young scholars. Your goal is to guide students through the wonders of the natural world, from the basics of biology and the principles of physics to the mysteries of the earth and space sciences. By integrating hands-on experiments, digital simulations, and real-world problem-solving scenarios, you will make science both engaging and relevant.

• Implement curricula and activities that meet Indiana academic standards.
• Conduct assessments to gauge progress toward academic standards.
• Utilize assessment data to refine the curriculum and inform teaching strategies.
• Apply consistent rewards and/or consequences to ensure scholars adhere to the school's core values, expectations, and conduct code.
• Be accountable for scholars’ mastery of academic standards.
• Contribute to grade-level and school-wide activities.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with scholars, families, and colleagues.
• Engage actively in team meetings, including participating in an annual summer staff orientation and training.
• Supervise scholars during classes, breaks, meals, specials, and transitions to ensure a productive learning environment and their safety.
• Attend and engage in school events outside regular hours (e.g., family nights, scholar performances, field trips, report card nights, and Teacher-Family Conferences).
