Elementary Special Education Teacher; Grades KG

Bloomfield School District is looking for a dynamic Elementary Special Education teacher to work cooperatively with Bloomfield Elementary School staff. Duties will include helping students to learn subject matter and skills which will lead toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth. Directs and evaluates the learning experiences of the students in activities sponsored by the school.

• Must have a current Indiana Special Education License:
• Rules 46/47: mild disabilities, learning disabilities, mild mental handicap, seriously emotionally handicapped
• Rules 2002:
  Mild Intervention covering appropriate school setting
• REPA:
  Mild Intervention covering appropriate grades
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates a sincere desire to aid all students.
• Knowledge of instructional design and highly interactive or innovative instructional methods. Deep knowledge of instructional best practices. Knowledge of Indiana academic standards.
• Special Education guidelines and regulations. Knowledge of IIEP
• Knowledge of completing an Individualized Education Plan.
