** Job Summary
** The Manager, Clean Energy Assets is responsible for the development, integration, and ongoing operations of Indiana Michigan Power’s (I&M) owned and operated clean energy portfolio, including solar, wind, hydroelectric, and energy storage resources. This role provides technical, operational, and strategic leadership to support I&M’s clean energy growth strategy and regulatory commitments. This position will play a critical role in ensuring these resources are developed, operated, and optimized safely, reliably, and in compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.

* What you’ll do:
**** Key Responsibilities
**** Clean Energy Asset Development & Integration
*** Support the planning, development, and integration of new clean energy assets, including utility‑scale solar, wind, hydroelectric, and energy storage projects.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, project management, regulatory, finance, supply chain, and legal) to support IURC filings, project approvals, and execution.
* Provide operational and technical input during project development, design, construction, commissioning, and commercial operation.
** Operations & Performance Management
*** Oversee the day‑to‑day operational performance of I&M’s clean energy assets to ensure safe, reliable, and cost‑effective operations.
* Establish and monitor performance metrics, including availability, capacity factors, reliability, and lifecycle cost management.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to optimize asset performance and long‑term value.
** Regulatory & Compliance Support
*** Support regulatory filings, testimony development, and data requests related to clean energy assets and resource planning.
* Ensure compliance with IURC requirements, environmental regulations, NERC standards (as applicable), and company policies.
* Coordinate with regulatory, environmental, and compliance teams to address audits, inspections, and reporting requirements.
** Asset Management & Strategy
*** Develop and maintain asset management strategies for clean energy resources across their full lifecycle.
* Support long‑term planning related to operations, maintenance, upgrades, repowering, and end‑of‑life considerations.
* Evaluate operational risks and develop mitigation strategies related to technology, performance, and grid integration.
** Leadership & Collaboration
*** Provide leadership and technical guidance to internal teams and contractors supporting clean energy operations.
* Build strong working relationships with cross‑functional partners, external vendors, developers, and technology providers.
* Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

* What we’re looking for:

* Minimum Qualifications:
*** Bachelor’s degree in engineering, renewable energy, business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum 7–10 years of experience in energy generation, asset management, operations, or renewable energy development.
* Experience with utility‑scale renewable energy technologies, such as solar, wind, hydro, and/or energy storage.
* Strong understanding of regulated utility environments and asset lifecycle management.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and collaborate across multiple functional areas.

* Preferred Qualifications:
*** Experience supporting or leading projects subject to state utility regulatory approval (e.g., IURC or similar).
* Knowledge of power markets, grid operations, and renewable energy integration.
* Experience with energy storage technologies and emerging clean energy solutions.
* Professional Engineer (PE), PMP, or similar certification.
* Prior leadership experience managing teams, vendors, or major capital assets.
