- Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned projects.
- Complete pre‑construction surveys and other preliminary documents, including plan reviews and vendor proposal comparisons.
- Perform quantity surveys and pricing estimates, develop project schedule templates, and obtain applicable wage rates.
- Review contract specifications, documents, and drawings to accurately perform take‑offs.
- Critically analyze estimates to ensure competitive bids.
- Stay apprised of industry standard software and research new technologies.
- Attend occasional project site visits and pre‑bid meetings.
- Assist with other estimating duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Electrical experience in DOT, municipal, or industrial sectors (e.g., street lighting, traffic signals, ITS, substations, distribution).
- Prior experience in the renewable construction industry preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years estimating experience preferred.
- Experience with estimating software, B2W preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Blue Beam.
Competitive salary: $95,000–$120,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
