CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Indiana Roadway Team Leader to join our Highway & Rail Team in Indianapolis, IN
. In this influential role, you will drive technical quality across major transportation projects, mentor emerging engineers, and contribute to the evolution of safe, efficient, and future‑ready highway and rail systems.

• Organize, direct, and coordinate activities related to highway, roadway, and rail infrastructure projects—from initial assessment through planning and design
• Collaborate with Highway & Rail team leadership to manage and motivate a high‑performing group of technical professionals, ensuring excellence in project delivery and achieving team utilization goals
• Effectively manage project budgets, scope, and schedules to deliver successful outcomes for critical transportation initiatives
• Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded throughout each phase

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required;
  Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience required; previous project or team management experience preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices and demonstrated technical proficiency
• Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, Micro Station, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
• Strategic thinker with a proven ability to guide and motivate team activity and resolve issues with urgency
• An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one‑on‑one and in front of large groups
• Experience with project budgeting preferred; basic understanding of accounting processes
• Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

• Lead technically challenging highway and rail projects that elevate the safety, efficiency, and resilience of transportation systems
• Make a meaningful impact as a mentor and technical advisor developing the next generation of engineering talent
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a flexible, supportive work environment

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
