Project Mgr Plan & Compliance - DPW-Planning and Compliance

Overview

Position responsible for overseeing projects in the planning and compliance section and providing technical engineering assistance related to data management activities for transportation, environmental, traffic and stormwater projects throughout Marion County. Planning & Compliance management of local, federal, multi-modal, transportation, structural, and stormwater projects.

• Design specification and plan interpretation, scheduling, and planning related to infrastructure projects.
• Provides support in the development of the Department's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).

• Technical degree/certification or five plus (5+) years of related work experience required.
• Experience working in GIS preferred but not required.
• Extensive knowledge of City, State, and FHWA policies and specifications as they relate to construction of City infrastructure.
• Excellent oral and written skills and excellent conflict resolution skills.
• High degree of initiative and independent judgment; ability to make critical and swift decisions that can impact the City of Indianapolis, City officials and policies.
