Sr Project Mgr Planning & Comp - DPW-Planning and Compliance

Overview

Position responsible for overseeing projects in the planning and compliance section and providing technical engineering assistance related to data management activities for transportation, environmental, traffic and stormwater projects throughout Marion County. Provides oversight to planning & compliance management of local, federal, multi-modal, transportation, structural, and stormwater projects. Provides technical assistance in design specification and plan interpretation, scheduling, and planning related to infrastructure projects.

Provides support in the development of the Department's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).

• Oversee planning and compliance management of local, federal, multi-modal, transportation, structural, and stormwater projects.
• Provide technical engineering assistance related to data management activities for transportation, environmental, traffic and stormwater projects.
• Assist in design specification and plan interpretation, scheduling, and planning related to infrastructure projects.
• Support the development of the Department's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
• Note:

• Technical degree/certification or ten plus (10+) years of related work experience required.
• Experience working in GIS preferred but not required.
• Extensive knowledge of City, State, and FHWA policies and specifications as they relate to construction of City infrastructure.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong conflict resolution skills.
• High degree of initiative and independent judgment; capable of making critical and swift decisions without direct supervision, with potential impact on the City of Indianapolis, City officials, and policies.
