Engineer Manager

Location: 51165 Greenfield Parkway, Middlebury, IN 46540

• Utilize best practice engineering methods to provide expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives
• Direct, evaluate, and confirm product design for manufacturability and related changes
• Utilize technical understanding of the products and how the interactions between workers affect the product
• Develop relationships with shop‑floor employees throughout the operation to ensure that the established product standards are maintained
• Foster teamwork within the Manufacturing Engineering department and effectively bridge gaps between Product Design and Production
• Foster teamwork with the Sales department and help understand the customers’ wants and specifications; direct, evaluate, and confirm specifications for manufacturability and facilitate any related changes
• Provide insight into examining technology, resources at hand, and market demands in order to determine whether a proposed project is practical and achievable
• Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the organization
• Coordinate and direct project plans, making sure that the plans are followed‑up in detail to accomplish the desired objectives
• Assist in the recruiting of qualified employees to whom they can assign and designate tasks that contribute to prespecified improvement targets
• Drive efficiencies through process improvements
• Maintain compliance with quality standards and Federal regulations

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Travel: 0 – 5 %

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
