Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Developing written plans and permit applications associated with state and federal programs for industrial stormwater discharges and oil pollution prevention (e Pollution Prevention Plans; Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans).
- Performing routine site visits to support clients with construction stormwater and SPCC compliance.
- diligence with substantial historical research including ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Ordering, receiving and reviewing database reports in support of Phase I ESA projects.
- Scheduling, coordinating and Phase I ESA projects.
- Supporting stormwater management, site characterization and remediation projects, including performing groundwater, soil and/or air sampling and associated report writing.
- Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
- Developing task, project, and client management skills.
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science (geology or hydrology), environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)
- Advanced degree (M.S.) in a related field. (preferred)
- Engineer in Training (E.I.T.), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or similar professional certification in your field, or currently working towards certification. (preferred)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred)
- Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental compliance, assessments, and plan development. (preferred)
- Prior experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products. (required)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
