About:
Our client is seeking a proactive Controls Engineer for a long-term contract opening. You’ll deliver innovative industrial automation solutions to enhance research efficiency, partnering closely with scientists and vendors. Focus: process timing, parallel operations, and optimization.
- Map and optimize existing control schemas
- Develop custom PLC/machine control changes and software restructuring
- Create process flow diagrams, schematics, and project documentation
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and integrate hardware/technologies
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and validation
- Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or related)
- 5+ years industrial PLC control & automation systems integration experience
- Hands-on PLC programming from scratch
- Structured coding (Python preferred) + Ignition HMI experience
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and time management skills
- Knowledge of industrial safety & health standards
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
