On-Call Experienced Technician

As a result of our continued growth, an on‑call position is available for a highly motivated and experienced Technician to join our Aviation group based at our Indianapolis, IN office. This position revolves around seasonal construction needs. As such, there will be periods when hours could regularly exceed more than 40 hours in a week, though there are other periods where there could be 0 to 30 hours.

Since this position is considered on‑call, there are no benefits. A valid driver’s license, the ability to pass a background check to gain access to airport sites, and frequent travel up to 100% to various project sites in IN and other states throughout the U.S. will be required.

• Construction administration on airfield pavement, building, and electrical systems projects
• Coordinating survey work and materials testing
• Performing initial review of contractor submittals for constructability and compliance
• Reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications
• Representing the owner in monitoring construction activities
• Measuring, calculating, and documenting quantities
• Maintaining daily construction logs
• Attending client meetings
• Other duties as assigned.

• Associate’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
• At least 2 years of relevant experience

OR

• If no degree, must have at least 4 years of relevant experience.

• At least 10 years of relevant airport project experience
• Experience in airport operations
• Experience in airport observation and documentation
• Experience interpreting plans and specifications
• Experience working with FAA standards.
