Roadway Engineer IV

We have been engaged in work in Indiana and with various INDOT Districts and the Central Office since 2016 including large Design Build projects.

We are currently looking to establish an office in Indianapolis to better manage our Indiana operations and support our growth in the State and in the Indianapolis Metro area. Join our team and you will help provide engineering solutions on impactful projects for various INDOT Districts and the Central Office, Local Public Agencies, and work on other major infrastructure improvements across the Midwest.

We are looking for an experienced Roadway Engineer IV to work on projects across Indiana, with a focus on INDOT as well as Local Public Agency projects. The successful candidate will work on roadway projects from programming to preliminary engineering and final design. Tasks performed may include completing project studies in addition to plan preparation and they may require broad knowledge of fundamentals relating to design.

• Understand the work assigned and complete assigned tasks with or without support staff.
• Collaborate with other engineers and technicians under the supervision of a Project Manager and in coordination with a Roadway Project Engineer.
• Coordinate work with other team members, other consultants, and with the client.
• Work independently on plan preparation, design and quantity calculations, and other related tasks for transportation related structural projects.
• Make calculations and run models necessary to perform assignments in a format that can easily be checked by others.
• Complete design and other tasks following INDOT or other agencies specifications and standards.
• Maintain proper filing, calculations, documentation, and drawing conventions and standards as established by Ciorba Group.
• Potentially assign tasks and work in coordination with an Engineer I,II, or III.
• Work closely with other disciplines on multi‑discipline projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from accredited school.
• 6-10 years of related engineering experience.
• IN Professional Engineering license.
• Experience preparing studies and plans for INDOT and Indiana Toll Road projects.
• Experience with Micro Station, Open Roads, and Project Wise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to coordinate work with others.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with other team members and managers.
