Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in Creo and HVAC-R product design. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in sheet metal and copper tubing design, GD&T, ECN processing, and Windchill PLM systems. This role involves supporting product development, engineering changes, and manufacturing‑ready designs for HVAC‑R systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop HVAC‑R components and assemblies using Creo.
- Create and modify 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs.
- Support design and development of sheet metal and copper tubing components.
- Apply GD&T principles and tolerance stack‑up analysis in product designs.
- Execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and maintain engineering documentation.
- Work with Windchill for data management, version control, and release processes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and sourcing.
- Ensure designs meet manufacturability, quality, and cost requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during prototype and production phases.
- Strong experience with Creo CAD software.
- Experience in HVAC‑R product design and development.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to sheet metal and copper tubing.
- Good understanding of GD&T and mechanical tolerancing.
- Experience handling ECNs and engineering documentation updates.
- Hands‑on experience with Windchill PLM.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
- Experience working in manufacturing or product development environments.
- Experience with HVAC systems/components.
- Exposure to product lifecycle management processes.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
