Project Engineer – Bridge – Indianapolis, IN

American Structuralpoint invites you to join the Bridge Group as a Project Engineer. This role manages complex and high‑profile transportation projects, mentors junior staff, and collaborates with internal teams and clients across disciplines.

• Perform conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design for structural elements of transportation and roadway projects.
• Develop and oversee bridge, retaining wall, and other structural design.
• Lead or support the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Lead or support bridge condition inspections throughout Ohio, including occasional overnight stays.
• Provide technical mentorship and support to junior engineers and design technicians.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable design standards and client requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams on project coordination and technical issues.
• Contribute to project scoping, scheduling, and proposal development as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE required).
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of employment (or the ability to attain within a year).
• Minimum of 4+ years of progressive experience in bridge design and bridge inspection.
• Knowledge of AASHTO and DOT bridge design standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to self‑motivate and thrive in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
