Role Description
Arcadis is seeking an Industrial Hygiene and Safety Professional to join our Sustainable Operations team in the Indianapolis, IN office. This will be approximately 75% field work and 25% office work. Projects will focus on asbestos, lead‑paint, hazardous building materials, indoor air quality, mold, IH exposure monitoring, building characterization assessments, soil/water sampling, project monitoring/oversight, and report preparation. Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience and possess the proper licenses and credentials to complete the job.
Specific training will be provided by Arcadis.
- Complete asbestos and lead‑paint surveys, abatement projects, and indoor air and mold investigations.
- Conduct mold/water damage remediation projects and ventilation assessments.
- Develop and review health and safety plans (HASPs).
- Perform inspections and surveys for asbestos, lead, mold (water intrusion), IAQ, and other regulated building materials.
- Work in a client‑oriented consulting environment with a focus on industrial hygiene practice.
- Assist with reports and proposals using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other programs.
- Mentor junior staff members and be mentored by senior EH&S consulting discipline members.
- Scoping projects and preparing proposals with senior staff members.
- Bachelor of Science in a science‑related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the professional services or consulting business.
- State‑specific asbestos training and licensure.
- Knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, and state regulations for asbestos and related hazards.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a medical exam and be medically cleared to wear a negative‑pressure respirator.
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. of equipment in an 8‑hour shift.
- OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.
- Experience with report preparation.
- Industry‑recognized certification in industrial hygiene (e.g., CIH, IHT) and/or indoor environmental or air quality consulting (e.g., CIEC, CIAQP).
- NIOSH 582 training.

SalaryThe salary range for this position is $68,187 – $112,509. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
