Engineer II

Key Responsibilities

• Designing overhead and underground electrical infrastructure for road project relocations, make‑ready work, new circuits, and reliability projects.
• Preparing detailed field layouts, construction prints, and work orders.
• Performing structural and electrical analyses, including voltage drop and mechanical loading.
• Collaborating with survey crews to ensure project data accuracy and assisting in the completion of field‑based deliverables.
• Serving as a technical point of contact for customers, contractors, and vendors regarding project requirements and timelines.
• Preparing and initiating easement requests and multi‑agency permits (e.g., Railroad, INDOT, and local), ensuring all technical specifications are met prior to final acquisition.
• Conducting field inspections of construction projects to ensure conformance with design specifications, documenting and reporting any discrepancies.
• Preparing daily and other periodic reports.
• Providing training to less senior employees.

• Bachelor degree in Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of recent verifiable experience.
• Experience in Electric Generation or Utility a plus.
• Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Suite.
• Strong communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others as well as operate with a minimum of supervision.
• Additional consideration will be given for the following job‑related training or experience: GTech or DDS O‑Calc SAG
  10 SPANS, National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), AutoCAD SAP.
